Privacy Policy
Effective November 6, 2026
Waypoint Compliance LLC ("Waypoint," "we," "us") helps trucking companies stay compliant with federal and state rules. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We are a private company, not a government agency.
Information we collect
When you use the free DOT record check: the USDOT number you enter. We use it to look up your carrier's public record from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). That record is public information; we do not store your lookup unless you also send us a request.
When you request a free review: your name, company name, phone number, email, USDOT number, number of trucks, anything you write in the message box, whether you agreed to receive text messages, and a summary of your DOT check results.
When you become a client and complete onboarding: company details (legal name, DBA, USDOT and MC numbers, address, contact person, registrations such as UCR, IFTA and IRP accounts, insurance carrier and expiration), driver details (name, license class, state, number and expiration, medical card expiration, hire date), vehicle details (unit number, type, year, make and model, last six of the VIN, plate state, weight, inspection and tax dates), and documents you upload, such as licenses, medical cards, registrations and insurance certificates.
Automatically: to keep our forms safe from spam and abuse, our security provider Cloudflare checks basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and device signals. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics on this site.
What we never ask for on this site: Social Security numbers, your FMCSA, Login.gov or other account passwords, bank or card numbers, or drug and alcohol test results. Please do not upload them.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request, schedule and hold your review call, and give you a price.
- To provide the compliance services you sign up for: building and maintaining your files, tracking deadlines, preparing filings, and reminding you before things are due.
- To contact you by phone, email or, if you agreed, text message about your request and your account.
- To keep our website and records secure and to prevent fraud and spam.
- To meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for anyone else's marketing.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run our business and deliver your services:
- Service providers that store or process data for us, such as our website host and security provider (Cloudflare), our secure database (Airtable), and, when you book a call, our scheduling tool. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Partners needed to deliver services you sign up for, such as a drug and alcohol testing administrator (consortium/third-party administrator), a process agent for your BOC-3 filing, or a tax e-file provider, and only the information each one needs.
- Government agencies, such as FMCSA, state fuel tax and registration offices, and the IRS, when we file or submit something on your behalf with your authorization.
- When required by law, such as to respond to a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
- If our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check the box agreeing to receive text messages, Waypoint Compliance may text you about your request, your account and upcoming compliance deadlines. Agreeing is not required to get help or to buy any service.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (503) 941-6349.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not share or sell your mobile number or your text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the service providers that help us send messages, and only to deliver our messages to you.
How we protect it
Information you send through our website is encrypted in transit. It is stored with providers that protect it with access controls, and only Waypoint staff who need it to serve you can see it. Our forms check for spam and automated abuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects it, as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep request information while we are in contact with you and for a reasonable time afterward. For clients, we keep compliance records for as long as you are a client and for any longer period federal or state rules require for those records, then delete or securely destroy them.
Your choices
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law.
- You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, and ask us to stop calling or emailing you.
- To make a request, call (503) 941-6349. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is significant, we will let clients know directly.
